The pink gadgets supporters club have had a lot to squeal about hysterically of late – earlier this week there was the flamengo-coloured DS Lite, and now Intempo has produced this sat-nav.

Aside from being the perfect target for gags about women’s directional blind spot – we’ll try not to stoop to that level – the Buddy is a reasonably accomplished GPS system that prides itself on being user-friendly for confused belles.

It has a touch-sensitive 3.5in display, packs Destinator software to help you round the UK and Ireland maps and comes pre-loaded with plenty of Points of Interest (POIs).

The maps are both 2D and 3D, there’s voice guidance and all your previous addresses will be accessible from history and favourites menus.

There are no TMC traffic alerts, but it will also act as an MP3 player and photo viewer, which you can flick through via the remote control, and should keep going for journeys up to three and a half hours.

The Buddy costs £300 and is available now from Argos and Superdrug stores – head over to Intempo’s site for a full list of its pink credentials.
