Bang on cue, HTC's announced its next TouchFLO-enhanced smartphone, the Windows Mobile 6-packing Touch Dual.Rechristened from the original 'Touch Slide' moniker, it'll be available on Orange later this month to sit alongside the current Touch. It gets a new slide-down keypad that cunningly manages to squeeze a full QWERTY set – Alt, Enter, Space, Del and all – onto just 20 keys, a la RIM's SureType.Measuring a touch longer but half a centimetre thinner than a Nokia N95, it sports a same-size 2.6in screen and HSDPA (HTC 1 - Apple 0).As expected there's been some tweaking to the touch capabilities so you can now zoom and rotate images one-handed – very iPhone. One-fingered web browsing has also been improved. And don't fret if you've already plumped for the original keypad-free Touch. HTC's promising a full-screen virtual keyboard download will be available on its website for free. How touching.EssentialsHTC Touch DualPrice: £Free (with £35/month contract)On sale: October Contact: HTCRelated stories:HTC to Slide out a Touch revamp?Video Stuff: HTC Touch hands on reviewReviewed: HTC Touch
