HTC One X 5 to be Google’s new Nexus?
The Nexus rumour mill is getting up to speed and it’s HTC turning the blades with its rumoured 5in phablet
HTC could be making Google’s next Nexus phone. The Taiwanese giant is rumoured to be creating a 5in Galaxy Note-baiting device for Google called the HTC One X 5.
According to GSMArena‘s inside sources, HTC will bring an improved Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 that offers even more spreadable Project Butter, more lock screen options and a few minor improvements. The handset itself is said to have the world’s first 1080p smartphone screen, a Snapdragon S4 chipset, 12MP snapper and 2500mAh battery.
But the software talk is where the rumours falter. Historically all Nexus devices have brought with them new major Android software upgrades. So could we see Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie with this HTC handset, or is it all rumour and Google’s very own Motorola will be creating the new Nexus? Perhaps the Galaxy Nexus 2 rumour demands attention too? We’ll just have to wait and see.
