HTC Flyer and Optimus Pad now on sale

Insert joke about “flying off the shelves” here

Android tablets the HTC Flyer and LG Optimus Pad are available from Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy from today. Which one to chose?

The HTC Flyer packs a 1.5GHz single core processor, 3G and WiFi versions, microSD expansion, Android Gingerbread, and it’s uniqueness comes in the form of a stylus – we all know what Steve Jobs thinks of those.

The LG Optimus Pad will be sporting Android Honeycomb, a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, and 3D screen with 3D snapper and video camera – the products of which can be fed to a 3D TV.

The Flyer will cost you from £130 on a £25/month 24 month contract or alone for £600, while the Optimus Pad is £300 on a £25/month 24 month contract or £750 on its own.
