No, you're not hallucinating. These are indeed pictures of a 700-tonne church being driven down a road.

The inhabitants of the German village of Heuersdorf were moving 12km to a new village and wanted to take their 700-year-old church with them. You'd think they'd be suitably stuffed, but no. It just so happened there was 160-wheel transporter vehicle knocking about, fitted with heavy duty suspension and industrial-strength Continental tyres. Coincidence? No, but very cool.

It's a good job that they didn't get a puncture though - it looks like an AA man's worst nightmare...
