Hitachi's got 3 all-new HD-equipped DVD recorders for your perusal. We think you'll agree - they look nice.
You'll probably be quite keen on the specs, too: 80GB HD for the DV-S81E, 160GB for the DV-S161E and a whopping 250GB for the DV-S251E. That's 300 hours of hard-disk recording, which, frankly, is more than you need.
Concerned about DVD recording formats? Don't be - they'll record on anything, including mad DVD-RAM discs. But the very best thing about the new models is their ability to automatically fast forward through adverts in any recordings made. The 'Commercial Advance' system uses some nifty image recognition tech to detect the adverts in recordings and scans through them when you watch.
Genius - shame it doesn't automatically delete them too.
No word on pricing yet, but Hitachi informs us they'll be hitting the shops soon. Rest assured Stuff will have the full lowdown when more details emerge.
