Our feeble wrists simply refuse to carry a laptop that weighs more than 1kg these days. Luckily, not only did Dell announce the impossibly thin Adamo XPS yesterday, we've just had some hands-on time with Sony's new X Series – which claims to be the world's lightest laptop.
It is indeed startlingly light in the hand, weighing half as much as the MacBook Air. Naturally, its 11.1in screen is also extremely thin, though we're bit concerned about how well it'd handle life in our luggage.
There's no UK price yet, but it's been priced up at around £810 in the States and will launch here with Windows 7 on 22nd October. You can read more about the X Series in our news story, and for more snaps just scroll down.

Sony L Series
Somewhat overshadowed by the X Series was Sony's Vaio L series, though this touchscreen all-in-one caught our attention with its 24in, full HD display.
It's so good Sony is touting the L Series as part HDTV, part PC, and we found the screen to be very responsive in our brief play. The hero model comes with a 500GB hard-drive, Blu-ray drive and a Freeview tuner.
