I've just got back from a hands–on demo of Optoma's neat new Pocket Projector. It's about the size of a dinky video recorder, but can hook up to your phone, camera, camcorder or iPod and beam out pictures up to 60in across. It's not going to win any awards for amazing picture quality, but if you're on holiday or with a bunch of mates and don't want to crowd around a screen the size of Tom Cruise's head, it's an ideal little gizmo.I gave it a go with an iPhone 3G and N95 and have to say it was pretty impressive. I also managed to take a few snaps of the device itself, to give you an idea what to expect when it launches next month. The only disappointing thing? The 250 quid price tag. If it's portable, why not make it more affordable?
