Hack Samsung S Voice on to your Android phone

If you’ve been quietly harbouring Siri envy and can’t wait until the end of the month to pick up Samsung’s Galaxy S3, here’s your fix

Well, that didn’t take long. The APK application file for S Voice, Samsung’s answer to Apple Siri, has been pulled from Sammy’s forthcoming Galaxy S3 and set free.

That opens the door for adventurous Android gadgeteers to install the voice recognition system on other Galaxy devices (like the Galaxy Nexus) and possibly on a wider array of Android devices, though we’re yet to hear confirmation the hack works well on non-Samsung Android 4.0.4 phones.

You’ll need to download the APK (via our source for this story, Talk Android) and root your Android phone to install it. Then you can start giving your phone a good talking to. Who knows, we might have to extend our list of best voice-controlled gadgets.
