We're on the road back to Calais having spent the night (or, strictly speaking, about 4 hours of the morning) in Frankfurt. We stopped at a beautiful boutique hotel called The Pure at 7.30am which provided possibly the most comfortable pillows in the known universe for us to get a couple of hours' kip on. It also has a remarkably plush minimalist interior – we would have loved to have spent more time there.
Now it's beautiful out, though we won't be sad to see the end of these interminable German roads. The rest of the Gumball party should be over at Istanbul, about to set off on the second leg. Yep, it'd be fair to say that we're all massively jealous. But what an experience we've already had.
So, how to occupy yourself on a 400 mile jaunt back to the UK? Well, the Archos 704 WiFi is proving popular and we can't get enough of car battery-powered Guitar Hero 2. Joytech provided us with a 9in screen designed specifically for the Xbox 360, and we're mighty impressed. Though, to be fair, anything that allows us to play Guitar Hero is a very, very good thing.
