Those Google phone rumours just won't die down. According to esteemed news agency, Reuters, the colourful search site has been pouring millions into its ‘GPhone’ project and is sipping tea with US and European networks as we speak.Its moles reckon the search supremo has even built a number of Linux-based prototypes – currently doing the rounds in boardrooms on both sides of the Atlantic – and signed up HTC (of O2 Xda and Orange SPV fame) to make the finished product, with Orange suggested as a likely carrier on European shores. Of course, Google's denying all at present but according to the reports we could be seeing a Google-powered mobile as soon as early 2008.
