To coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Moon Landings, Google has added a new feature to Google Earth - the ability to explore the Moon.

Google has been adding data to Google Earth at an astounding rate, moving the nominally earthbound app into the sky, the ocean's depths and off world to Mars.

Exploring the Moon, you can study lunar imagery, review historical data, images and videos from the Apollo missions, take in panoramic images of the moon and study 3D models of the lunar modules.

Hope over to the blogs to see a video of Google Earth 5.0 in action and download it here.
