We've seen a rash of new Google Android phones recently but the OS could find its way into your household appliances too.
San Francisco firm Touch Revolution says several well-known companies will introduce Android-powered household kit this year.
The Android appliances will feature touch screens ranging in size from 4.3in to 10in and connect to the web via wifi or (less excitingly) wired ethernet.
Android powered home control systems will be able to talk to household systems including your lights, locks, alarm systems and air conditioning.
Touch Revolution predicts that the Android enhanced appliances will start to appear before the end of the year in the US and beyond.
What do you think? Do you fancy an Android enabled house? Or like us are you slightly worried it might turn you home into a crazy computer like H.A.L from 2001?
