Apple has apparently got its order in with Taiwanese manufacturers for a new range of MacBooks. According to the gossipmongers over at MacRumors, we’ll be seeing the new laptops in Q3.

While they got a bit of a heft back in February, with spanking new Intel Penryn chips (not exactly Earth shattering stuff), it looks like this refreash could be something far more substantial.

While we’ve been expecting the addition of multitouch, to match the Air and Pro, there’s also talk that the current white and black plastic stylings will get bumped for some iMac–alike steel and aluminium.

For now, we can only speculate. Still, it’s great to talk MacBooks rather than the 3G iPhone.
