GarageBand arrives on iPhone and iPod

Now you can tweek your riffs, build your bass, and lay down those samples from the confines of your pocket

GarageBand, Apple’s easy-to-use music creation software, has made the jump from iPad to iOS 5 in the iPhone and iPod.

This is a very good thing, not only because it costs only £2.99 (free if already owned on iPad), but because it will use the near-perfect multi-touch interface developed for the iPad to make music creation easy, anywhere. Most addictive app ever.

You know the drill, choose drums, guitar, keyboard – whatever – lay down samples and use Flex Time to fix your efforts. It makes even the most tone-deaf wannabe musician feel like an instant Matt Belamy. Read our review here, and download it here.
