Galaxy SII owners on O2 to get Ice Cream Sandwich update in mid April

O2 customers rocking their trusty SIIs can look forward to an Android 4.0 upgrade next month

Hot on the heels of HTC's Android phone update announcement, O2 has stated that its Samsung Galaxy S II owners should see an Ice Cream Sandwich update hit their handsets in mid April, according to ElectricPig.

Although SIM-free Samsung Galaxy SII owners should still be on track for a March 19th update, Android update schedules for network-locked phones have a history of being a little hazy at the best of times.

Stay tuned for more specific update release dates from other networks as you continue to drool at the thought of all that Ice Cream Sandwich goodness...
