It’s a curious thing, technology. More than 20 years after Nintendo’s NES rocked the original lightgun, the most innovative home console in years is getting us excited about those on-rails shooters all over again thanks to its motion-sensing controllers. Just days after Nintendo lifted the lid on its official Wii Zapper at E3, along comes a third party version that does much the same thing but in a more traditional shotgun form factor. Like the official version, the Blaster has no internal electronics of its own. Instead, you simply slot the Wii Remote and Nunchuck controllers into place inside and you can access all the buttons and motion-sensor functions.
