So, you’re back at work, staring bleary-eyed at the monitor. No money, no resolutions, not even any new smartphones to daydream about. Well, allow us to lift your gloom on that last part – Vodafone has just started offering Samsung’s i320, potentially one of the smartphones of the year, in the UK. There, not so bad is it?The Windows Mobile 5.0 gizmo may look a bit straight-laced, but its 12mm thick form makes the Nokia E61 look like it’s been binging on the turkey leftovers. Samsung’s squeezed in a bevy of features too, including a lovely 2.2in display, 120MB of internal memory and a 1.3MP camera. There’s also a claimed 200 minutes talk-time and a microSD slot, although the lack of Wi-Fi means you’ll have to make do with Bluetooth for wireless shenanigans. Dear, dear, Sammy, this is 2007 – get with it.
