Gadget of the Day: Roberts MP-Sound 41

So, your TV watching schedule is all sorted thanks to Sky+ but what about radio? Sure, you could catch up with ‘Listen Again’ and the like, but wouldn't you prefer to be soaking in the bath, listening in digital-clear quality than sat at the computer competing for bandwidth with your DivX downloads?

Step forward Roberts' new MP-Sound 41. It comes equipped with the digital equivalent of the Radio Times to plan your listening ahead of time and record your shows to SD card.

You can have up to twelve programmes lined-up up to a week in advance and – unlike Listen Again – it saves all the songs too.

Natch, there's the usual pause and rewind benefits and, if called upon, it will report for bedside duty with its clock and up to 12 alarms. You can also choose for it to play a recording in the morning, so you can wake up to that lovely Scott Mills rather than Chris Moyles for a change. Ah, blessed relief.
