We rather hoped people would need a license to fly these but no, it seems anybody can walk into Maplin, hand over forty quid and walk out with a potentially limb severing - or at least skin grazing - remote control toy.The cheeky red number (or blue or yellow if you fancy) comes ready assembled as a 1:15 replica and can fly to heights of up to 25m - that's about three and a half times the height of an average house. Take a flight above toy town and it equates to about a dizzy twelve hundred feet, in scale terms.Give it three hours to charge and it'll hover in one place or fly up, down, left and right thanks to the handy remote controller. Sadly we couldn't find the button for the mini machine gun or rockets. You'll probably want to take it down the park for maximum flying fun as it's not recommended for indoor use - but that just sounds like a challenge to us.EssentialsMaplin N91CZ Dragonfly ChopperPrice: £40On sale: NowContact: MaplinRelated stories:Gadget of the Day – Spy Video Car
