Remember that hilarious mix-up a few months back? We all got excited when a white 'iPhone' was announced – only for it to be a Wi-Fi enabled Skype phone from, er, Linksys, who just happened to own the name. How we laughed.Anyway, while Apple's iPhone languishes in Delaysville (population: Zune) Linksys's version has landed.By keeping the Skype software on-handset, the Wi-Fi fella can hook up to the world of free and cheapo calls without the need for a computer, just a wireless router. The tasty WIP320 (left) will do the job at home but we're also rather tempted by the slightly more demure WIP330 (right). It'll not only make free calls from your Wi-Fi router but also from public hotspots. If you're prone to wandering around any of the growing number of wide-area networks such as the London’s Square Mile or Manchester city centre then you've effectively got free calls for nothing more than a hotspot subscription. Sweet. They're both available now, which is more than we can say for the 'actual' iPhone.
