Do you treat your beloved iPod like a spoiled child, lavishing gifts of iTunes downloads, protective cases and high-end headphones upon him? Then the little fella's in luck, because the people at Absolute Sounds have combined the Krell KID (Krell Interface Dock) with the MartinLogan Purity floorstanding speakers to form a gift to last it every Chistmas and birthday for the next decade.

The Krell KID iPod dock houses top-quality preamp circuitry to get your iPod singing in fine voice,  while the MartinLogan Puritys use electrostatic panels instead of conventional cones and domes to reproduce music with "exceptional pace and clarity". Each speaker unit also contains its own 200W power amp - so no bulky separates required.

You can also get hold of the individual components, so if you want a lovely set of floorstanders or a serious iPod dock, then you can buy them separately.

Now it goes without saying that there are other things you could spend £3740 on – like a full hi-fi or HD setup for example. But if you only do music the iPod way and still want a top-spec home setup (and have a piggy bank the size of a hippo) then this one's for you.
