Tent? Check. Sleeping bag? Check. Espresso maker? Don’t scoff, a freshly made espresso might not be at the top of your camping list, but we’ll bet it’ll give you a kick-start in the morning of your hiking holiday.
The Handpresso Wild portable espresso machine is not much bigger than a torch and works by pump action. Slip in an espresso pod, pump up until the pressure gauge reaches 16 bar and add hot water. Wild indeed.
It uses the same E.S.E (Easy Serving Espresso) pods that are used in most large coffee chains so you’ll be getting a proper cuppa Italian rocket-fuel. We imagine it’ll also be popular with coffee snobs owning small kitchens, or caffeine-addicted commuters who don’t want to pay extortionate train station prices.
As the Handpresso Wild doesn’t use electricity to run, you’ll always be primed for your next fix. As long as you have a ready supply of hot water, that is.
Handpresso also have a range of accessories for their wild child, including thermo-insulated bottles, polycarbonate cups and, of course, a case for your new nomadic friend.
Apparently the Handpresso Wild can make over 10,000 espressos. Sleep well, dear readers.
