Frankly we can't remember the last time we listened to music without having it streamed via our Roku SoundBridge, piped to our Xbox 360 or otherwise beamed wirelessly through the ether. In this wireless world, using traditional head cans is starting to look seriously medieval. Thankfully Gear4 (of BluEye and HouseParty speaker dock fame) is here with a solution in the shape of its Bluetooth-equipped BluPhones. And it's had them on a strict diet too. Gear4 reckons they're one of the lightest and most compact sets around. Naturally they'll pipe tunes from any suitably Bluetoothed player – such as Samsung's T9 – but they'll also double as a wireless headset for your mobile, pausing the tunes while you have a natter.Thankfully all the weight ditching hasn't dented the battery too much. They'll manage a head banging five hours of music, or 60 hours just pensively waiting for a call. You can treat your ears to them direct from the Gear4 website.
