Gadget of the Day: BatPak

Quite what this product has to do with bats, we don't know, but we're sure Batman carries one in his utility belt when he goes on holiday to Benidorm

Quite what this product has to do with bats, we don't know, but we're sure Batman carries one in his utility belt when he goes on holiday to Benidorm and can't be bothered with a travel adaptor.

Billed as the "first commercial portable fuel cell battery for mobile phones," the Batpak is essentially a backup battery for all your electronics devices. With a plethora of attachments available, you'll be happily charging all your gadgets – from iPods to BlackBerrys – in no time. The liquid battery is activated by squeezing it, and can then be used a number of times until it finally runs out of juice.

The BatPak weighs in at 185g, so it won't eat up you baggage allowance, and the makers claim it'll give you 30-40 hours of talktime on a phone and 70-80 hours of music on an iPod. Just make sure you put aside some time for those other holiday activities, campers.
