Summer is sneaking in, and that can only mean one thing – barbeque season. And as everyone knows a good barbeque needs some tasty tunes.
Enter the OutCast Jr – a weather-resistant outdoor speaker that houses a 60W amplifier, downward-firing 6.5in woofer and four omni-directional drivers. It has a range of up to 105 metres – good enough for the largest of outdoor grillfests.
The OutCast Jr comes with a rechargeable battery, charger, power cable and 12V adapter for juicing it up in your car. However, you’ll need a wireless transmitter to complete the setup.
You can choose between an iCast transmitter, which has a line level input for your MP3 player or similar, and a Universal AudioCast Transmitter which will connect to your PC or Mac via USB, as well as your MP3 player.
You can even pair up two OutCast Jrs and set them up as separate channels for a true outdoor stereo experience.
All these outdoor tunes come at a rather hefty price of £400, plus another £75 or so for the wireless transmitter. So it’s time to make the choice – do you plump for the six-burner, battery-operated rotisserie, gas-fired, lava rock filled barbeque of your dreams, or a tasty wireless outdoor tunes setup?
