We loved the first two Z series digicams, and now Fujifilm is making sure our other halves are equally besotted with this third multi-coloured model in the range.
That’s no sweeping sexist statement on our part – Fuji has claimed the Z3’s choice of silver, metallic blue and light pink colouring is aimed squarely at the fairer sex, with the ISO 1600 light sensitivity ideal for low light situations, like a night in Walkabout.
Apart from the new styling, the model doesn’t greatly improve on the Z2’s snapping CV – there’s the same 5.1MP sensor and high-res 2.5in screen, while the 3x zoom hasn’t been improved despite the ‘zoom’ moniker.
There are a couple of new features beyond the usual spec, though – a new anti-blur button should negate your hand-shake, and a ‘dual-shooting’ mode will let you take two quick shots, one with a flash and one without, to let you choose which is best.
The Z3 Zoom will be out from September this year – although a price is yet to be confirmed, Fuji has told us that it will be under £300.
