OMG! My DS Lite will be redundant soon! After spending £100 for a sleeker, brighter portable Nintendo experience, the DS Lite is being replaced by the DS Lite Lite.
Really? Is this some kind of stone-carved truth?
Well, Anna Lyst seems to think so and told Gamespot all about it. She said Nintendo has its new DS Lite designed and ready to go. She said it would have on-board storage, bigger screens and no GBA slot. She said it’s thinner too.
If she said Nintendo had jumped off a bridge would you believe her?
Well, no. But…
A re-designed DS? I’ve never heard of anything so ridiculous. The DS is selling like gold-plated hotcakes with free instructions on how to pull top models. Worldwide.
Yeah, that’s why it hasn’t been released yet, this new DS.
Nintendo doesn’t want to kill its own profits. That’s convenient.
But onboard storage would rock!
So would, I dunno, a flash memory expansion port, Bluetooth, a faster CPU, higher polygon counts, a built-in browser, more colours and a better resolution. But you can’t keep re-inventing a console, just leave it all for the DS II.
OK. I’ll use the money to buy one of those new Xbox 360s with the built-in HD DVD drives, instead.
