Denon MC2000 DJ Controller makes things simple

USB-powered twin deck controller features iTunes integration doesn’t even need a mains supply

Being a DJ used to mean carting round vinyl-filled crates, heavy decks and a mixer. Things done changed, as they say, and Denon’s new MC2000 DJ Controller is illustrative of that: it’s a dinky thing that doesn’t even require a mains supply for power – it can run off a laptop’s USB port.

There are two jog wheels and faders for “vinyl-like” mixing for tunes that are sucked direct from your computer. As long as your PC or Mac is running the bundled Serato DJ software (which integrates with iTunes), you’ll have no problems in “dropping a bangin’ set”. There is also sample control, loop control, on-board effects and a mic input.

The MC2000 DJ will be out in October for around £270.
