Dell Inspiron 910 netbook just round the corner

Dell almost had us believing we'd be seeing their first ever netbook last week. Instead they outed a string of E-series business bods, but now Gizmodo

With an 8.9in screen we've become so used to, the Inspiron 910 will come with SSDs up to 16GB, have the Intel Atom under the hood, up 1GB of RAM, a 3-in-1 card reader, three USBs and a 1.3MP webcam.

You'll able to get either Windows XP or Linux editions when it rears its head, supposedly in the States on 22 August. That's this Friday. And if Gizmodo's right, the entry level model will cost just $299. So expect it to start at an Acer Aspire One mtaching £199 when it arrives here.

So there you have it - a new name, a dirt-cheap price and a spec sheet to make Asus run and hide in terror. We're getting set for a full-on netbook war. Rememeber, if you're confused about what to look for in a netbook, make sure you read our feature on them now.
