In the last three months, Apple has sold 21 million iPods. That works out at about two and a half every second. Now, I’m glad that in the second that I bought mine, I wasn’t one of the unlucky punters who only got half a ‘Pod, but if you did, perhaps a big bunch of Creative price drops will tempt you to switch sides.
The cost cuts hit three of the company’s best-selling models, including the Nano Plus, Zen V and Zen V Plus (pictured), with savings from a pocket-pleasing £25 on the 2GB Zen V, to a measly £5 on the 1GB Nano Plus – not even enough for a couple of pints.
Now, if we could see similar (but greater) money saving moves on the PS3, Archos 604 Wi-Fi and the rest of our favourite tech, we’ll be happy gadgeteers.
