It's a week to the day that Dell let slip its new Inspirons were coming – and we didn't have to wait very long for them to arrive.Fresh up on the Dell website today is the full range of colourful critters in eight hues (pictured) to suit your palette, from Sunshine Yellow to Bubblegum Pink.Bargain hunters will gravitate to the 15.4in widescreen 1521 which packs a dual core AMD Turion 64 X2 chip, a gig of RAM and a 120GB hard drive. The pricier 1520 gets Intel Core 2 Duo hardware and dedicated nVidia GeForce Go 8400M GS graphics. The 1721 and 1720 do the same but with lush 17in widescreen displays. All can also be fully customised and upgraded to the new breed of Santa Rosa processors.Sadly there's no sign of Blu-ray being offered on board and XP fans will have to look to the older 1501 because it's Vista only all the way with the new lot. Also up today is the tiny new 12.1in XPS M1330 powerhouse with Intel innards, 1GB RAM, 120GB storage and 256MB NVidia  GeForce 7400 graphics. Finally it's a sad day for the Dell Dimension desktop PC – soon to be consigned to the history books after 15 years in service. It's being gradually replaced by the first line-up of Inspiron desktops, also available today from £330.EssentialsDell Inspiron 1521, 1520, 1721, 1720, XPS M1330Price: from £550, £600, £630, £650, £700On sale: NowContact: DellRelated stories:Dell's bright new InspironsSony's CR Vaios add a splash of colourTree-hugging Dell goes green
