Channel 4 is set to show a series of shows in 3D this autumn using a technology called ColourCode 3-D. The project is in partnership with Sainsbury's which will sell the 3D glasses you'll need to watch the programmes.

Channel 4's line-up of 3D spectaculars includes irksome mind reading illusionist Derren Brown in 3D Magic Spectacular and a clip show called The Greatest Ever 3D Moments.

There'll also be a two-part series on the Queen, allowing you to see Her Madge's craggy face in 3D and experience Prince Philip's un-PC comments as if he were truly in the room.

Sky plans to use a more complex method to show its 3D shows. ColourCode 3-D is relatively low-tech (hence the need for the coloured glasses) but still the Queen in 3D, what's not to like?

Which TV shows would you like to see go 3D? Jeremy Clarkson in hi-definition denim 3D? The news? Violent spectacle and human interest stories jumping right into your living room? Tell us in the comments.
