Panasonic has unveiled the Link-to-Cell Bluetooth  home phone at the Consumer Electronics Show, allowing you to use one handset for DECT and mobile calls.

You simply (or tediously, you never know with Bluetooth) pair your mobile to the base unit and it will route all landline and mobile calls through your DECT handset.

The Link-to-Cell system is perfect if you have limited mobile phone reception at home - just leave your mobile wherever in your house you can get a signal, then walk and talk as you like with the DECT handset.

Link-to-Cell also means you can leave your mobile charging and still take calls. You could even dispense with a landline completely, and just use the handset to make mobile calls when at home.

UK release date and pricing (and name) is as yet unconfirmed - but those of us who live in the mobile blackspot that is South London will be hoping it's soon, and cheap (and not called 'Link-to-Cell').
