Bower & Wilkins followed the wireless trend at this year’s CES today by launching their Liberty (working title, apparently) home theatre system. The touchscreen control panel can cope with up to 8 ‘zones’ or sets of speakers in your house. So you can wander from room to room listening to the same CD. It’s not a music server, unfortunately, so can only cope with one source at a time. It'll play DVDs too with upscaling to full 1080p. The speakers are based on the popular XT series but are now active and wireless, while the PV1 sub is now even more like a space aged football, having too lost its wires.Should be available in the next six months with a ballpark cost of £10,000.
