CES 2010: B&O gives the Asus NX90Jq a facelift

Laptops fall in with the uglier ducklings at the gadget pond, but Asus’ latest has taken some design advice from the tech design veterans at Bang & Olufsen.

Imaginative brains were apparently not hired to name the NX90Jq, but that won’t stop anyone slobbering over its flush keyboard and curvy bezel. And its innovative dual touchpads show that there are still new ideas in laptop design.

Inside, the Asus has some serious guts in the shape of an Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia GT 334M graphics and up to 1,280GB of storage on twin platters. It also has  USB 3.0 and a slot-in BD drive.

Sadly, there’s no date on when this beast-hearted beauty will actually hit the shelves, nor on the price, though we wouldn’t be surprised if the price looked like it had been cooked up over at B&O as well.

Don’t care how much it costs and want one right now, or think it’s a classic example of form over function? Let us know in the comments.
