HP, it seems, is something of a secret ornithologist. Just a few months after the Blackbird 002 gaming PC finally became available in Harrods, it’s announced two sleek successors called the Firebird 802 and 803.
Both gaming monsters inherit their predecessor’s stylish black paint job, but sport a thinner chassis and are, as a result, slightly less powerful.
Not that the spec sheet is anything to sniff at: both rock a Quad Core Intel Core 2 Quad processor, dual Nvidia GeForce 9800S graphic cards and 4GB RAM.
While the 802 packs a 500GB hard-drive and a DVD burner, the 803 ramps things up with 640GB storage a Blu-ray drive. Both behemoths also come with a wireless keyboard and mouse, which is always handy.
There’s no news on when they’ll be hitting the UK, but we just hope their price is close to their $1800 US price tags and not the wallet-busting £3200 the Blackbird 002 is shifting for over here.
