Microsoft and Apple have spent years developing their respective TV offerings. But eschewing any sophisticated Xbox 360 IPTV or Apple TV shenanigans, Orb's come along and spotted that Nintendo has had a media centre under its nose without even realising it.How? Simply by opening its console up to the big wide world of the web with the Opera browser, Nintendo has unwittingly let in Orb's MyCast software. Now the cat's out of the proverbial bag, it's just a simple case of downloading Orb's free program to a PC, booting up Opera on the Wii, and hey presto! Simply by logging in at mycast.orb.com, you can access all your luscious TV, movie, and music content along with all your photos and documents – anywhere in the world.Admittedly it's not quite full screen video – the Opera Wii toolbar tends to get in the way – and it's certainly not HD. But hey, what do you expect for free?
