Casio shows off its first touchscreen compact

Casio welcomes a touchscreen snapper into the Exilim fold

It's quite hard to believe this – the EX-ZS15 – is Casio's first touchscreen camera. But that being the case, it's harder to believe the 14.1MP snapper is going for just £140. The big talking point is of course its 3in touchscreen, but sandwiched betweeen that and its 5x optical zoom 26mm wide-angle lens is a sensor capable of 720p HD video recording and a wealth of other imaging tech such as face detection, image stabilisation, best shot mode and a battery that Casio claims won't give up until you've hit the shutter button 170 times. It'll be available in red, silver and black, although we're yet to learn when... perhaps Casio is trying to avoid a stampede.
