If a freebie mouse mat just isn’t your thing and you’d rather splash your cash and flash your wares, this shockingly expensive F1 offering could be for you.
The homegrown mat is handmade in England by specialist composite technicians who make F1 monocoques – the super fast racing cars’ pricey carbon skin.
Designed using state-of-the-art automative 3D modelling software, the mat’s surface is solid, 3mm thick, polished carbon fibre – cured to 120 degrees Celsius –with a backing of Italian black suede.
This is a good thing because, as anyone who listens to their mouse will know, our little friends like the feel of expensive materials beneath their dainty feet and the force of velocity against their whispery whiskers.
Of course, all this would mean nothing if it weren’t for the embossed F1 logo and luxury carrying box.
The mat is compatible with only ball-operated mice. Real, furry ones need not apply. And the price tag? Well, we didn’t want to spoil the fun, so we thought we’d leave it till last. The price, dear readers, is £250.
