In these heated days of push e-mail warfare, you need a trusty piece in your holster. Fortunately, T-Mobile has launched this new pump-action Blackberry to see you through.
The 8700gT gives the mobile mailing pioneer a service rather than a re-build, but there are some key improvements. The old processor has been removed and replaced with a nippy Intel job, which speeds up web browsing and viewing attachments.
The screen is even more eye-friendly with a resolution of 320×240 and automatic adjusting of the lighting depending on your environment. Apparently it’s also a much sleeker, lightweight design, although in the flesh its face looks only marginally narrower.
Aside from those bonuses, it’s still the same mobile e-mailer we’ve grown to know and jab our fingers into – the QWERTY keyboard’s still intact, there’s 64MB internal memory and Bluetooth support lets your hands go free, whether to grab the steering wheel or just to add a little animation to your nattering.
You’ll be able to bag an 8700gT in early February for either £180 sim-free, or for £80 with an 18 month T-Mobile contract. Head over to www.t-mobile.co.uk for more info, and look out for a review of O2’s version here next Monday.
