BlackBerry PlayBook will run Android apps

Apps developed to work on Gingerbread will work on BlackBerry’s new tablet via an app player

There was a rumour knocking about that BlackBerry’s PlayBook would get matey with Android apps. And now it’s been confirmed. The tablet will run Java and Android apps using a run-time environment. Still, good times for those shunning today’s iPad 2 launch to wait for alternative fruit-based tabletry.
