Natal is like Wii minus the Wiimote – it uses sensors to work out exactly where you are and how you’re moving.
It can do 3D motion capture, gesture recognition and facial and speech recognition to allow you to interact with games in ways never possible before. Raise your fists and you have a steering wheel; make a throwing motion and paint will splatter on the wall.
Well, that’s the theory – if it works well as initial demos and videos suggest, Natal could change the way we play. We were suitably impressed when we got hands on with it at E3 earlier this year.
