Welcome to our showcase of the hottest tech for 2008 – are you ready for the future?
We have seen the future of cameras, and it’s not all about megapixels; it’s about speed.
First spied at IFA 2007 in Berlin, Casio’s Hi-Speed camera can shoot a phenomenal 60 frames per second. And we’re not talking ultra-smooth movie footage this is 60 actual full-res 6megapixel photos in a second.
Not only that but this super camera can also take photos of the past – kind of. Probably using some sort of witchcraft and a Pre-shot Burst Mode you’ll be able to capture images from before the moment you actually pressed the shutter button. Spooky.
Combine this with a 12x zoom and VGA movie capture at an unfathomable 300fps and we could be looking at the ultimate sports and wildlife camera – provided it comes out of concept form and hits the shops in the summer.
