The Cool List has been assembled, the Stuff team have donned some lovely polo shirts, and now the great gadget theme park that is the Best of Stuff show in Novotel London West, Hammersmith is open for a weekend of techy indulgence.  The show's Big One is, of course, the PS3's UK debut. A couple of unfortunate Stuff staff, caught milling around the console's stand as the doors opened, were crushed underfoot by voracious hordes of next-gen gamers desperate to grab the controllers.  We shall fight on the beaches And who can blame them - the demo includes three of the PS3's biggest launch titles displayed in full 1080p glory. Resistance: Fall of Man is one of the finest FPS games ever created, pitching you into battle as a WW2 soldier against an army of aliens.  Sitting next to that is Lair. It shows off the controller's motion-sensitive capabilities by putting you in control of a dragon, which swoops through the sky along with your arm movements. And, best of all, there's Motorstorm, a horribly addictive racer which features the most spectacular and satisfying crashes ever seen outside of Police! Camera! Action!. That's not the end of the next-gen gaming either. ProjectionDesign has hooked up its latest Model Three projector and an Xbox 360 to a monstrous five-metre screen, and is staging a 'fastest lap' contest on Project Gotham Racing. The quickest time of the weekend wins an Xbox 360. Stay tuned for more live updates from the Best of Stuff and What Hi Fi?Sound & Vision, including Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD, Archos news and loads more.   Essentials
