Spent the weekend at the Best of Stuff show, manning the Gadget Doctor stand and trying to answer as many easy questions as possible (avoiding the difficult ones, naturally).

The PlayStation 3 was certainly the star of the show, drawing huge crowds desperate to get their first hands-on experience with the console. But there were other highlights too. In no particular order:

- Gear4's excellent Blueye, which turns your iPod into a mobile phone by building Bluetooth into an in-line remote control

- Archos's 604 Wi-Fi, the latest version of the portable media player, with streaming and web browsing capability

- SIM2's latest 1080p projector - £40K well spent, I'd say

But my favourite thing was Dyson's new handheld vacuum, the Root 6. Admittedly, this is because my house is a dustbowl right now (we have the builders in), but I love that it looks like a gun from Men in Black. Just goes to show that , just sometimes, the best technology sucks.
