Casio's 12MP Exilim EX-Z1200 may be a svelte 22mm but BenQ's new T800 is a tiny 15mm – making it the thinnest 8MP touchscreen cam in town. It's taking over from the equally slim T700 with its inferior 7MP sensor. Like its identically styled predecessor it gets that giant 3in touchscreen and BenQ's Super Shake-Free, which sounds grand but isn't a proper optical image stabilisation system, it just whacks up the ISO.More impressive is the addition of Face Tracking, for automatically focussing on up to nine human mugs in shot, and Z-lighting, which does the same shadow-busting editing job as Nikon's alphabetically earlier D-lighting.It'll be sliding into stores next month – no word yet on pricing, though.EssentialsBenQ T800Price: £TBAOn sale: October Contact: BenQRelated stories:Smile, you're on a Sony T200BenQ rolls out more digicam thinnessBenQ 7MP snapper 'world's slimmest'
