Step forward then the BenQ GP1. It might not pack the full HD credentials of its bigger, pricier stable mates, but it works with iPods, mobiles and PMPs, as well as packing USB support.
That means you can nab vids right from the source and fling them onto the nearest white surface wherever you are. It might be a tad bigger than Optoma's neat little effort, but the GP1 offers up to 80in pics, with 16:9 and 4:3 available, as well as composite and PC audio outputs.
