In a world full of iPads, PlayBooks and Galaxy Tabs it’s easy to see why ebook readers like the BeBook have been gathering dust in the corner. Well, if you can’t beat them, join them. BeBook’s first Android tablet is a not-quite-iPad-thin 11mm tablet with USB 2.0 and HDMI ports (with full HD output) and Flash support. The 7in screen should be sufficient for all but the most optically-challenged gadgeteers and although there’s only one front-facing 2MP camera, the price tag of £230 should sweeten the deal. BeBook’s let itself down a bit – this slab is running Froyo with no guarantees of any future updates. It’s out on the 21st of June.
