Fans may have had a long wait but The Beatles' back catalogue finally looks likely to be available online. Apple Corps, the band's record company, and Apple Computer, of iPod fame, are apparently in talks to make it so. Better late than never we say, though we doubt original fans will be chucking out their valued original vinyl just yet. Meanwhile you may well be wondering how on earth Steve Jobs has pulled this one off. This is the same Apple and Apple that have been locked in bitter dispute over use of their respective names and logos for the past 20 years. Is this a sign that they're finally burying the hatchet?Could be, especially as there are more rumours of another bad-taste branded player a la the U2 special edition. A Beatles iPod? Now that really would be the day.
